International Conference of the Eurasian Patent Attorneys Assembly «EPAA-2026»

Anton Khomyakov, Senior Partner, participated in the International Conference of the Eurasian Patent Attorneys Assembly (EPAA-2026), which brought together intellectual property professionals from the member states of the Eurasian Patent Convention (EAPC), as well as experts from Georgia, Latvia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uzbekistan.

Key topics of discussion included the impact of artificial intelligence on the IP market; IP-related expert evidence in litigation; combating counterfeit sales on online marketplaces; the fifth anniversary of the Protocol on the Protection of Eurasian Industrial Designs; commercialization of IP in a changing technological environment; trademark examination practices in EAPC member states.

On the first day of the conference, Anton delivered a presentation titled "Patent Practice in the Age of AI: New Tools and the Boundaries of Their Use" as part of the session "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Intellectual Property Market: Trends and Prospects for the Next Five Years."

On the following day, he participated in a discussion within the session "AI Inventions After the USPTO Guidance: Overcoming § 101 and Protecting Algorithms."
