Managing Partner of the firm, Ramzan Khusainov, participated in the 10th anniversary annual IP Camp seminar organized by the LES Türkiye, which took place on September 18−20 in Çeşme, Turkey.

The event’s speakers included patent attorneys and in-house counsel from Germany, Sweden, as well as leading Turkish law firms and manufacturing companies.

Ramzan took part in discussions on the strategic management of intellectual property portfolios to enhance their value, and the benefits and risks of using AI tools in the work of patent attorneys. He also became a prize-winner in the quiz held among all seminar participants.

Senior Partner of the firm, Anton Khomyakov, participated in the seminar "Empowering Women Entrepreneurs and SMEs in the field of intellectual Property use", organized by the Representative Office of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in the Russian Federation. The seminar was held on October 17 at the "Idea" Technopark in Kazan.

The speakers included Pavel Spitsyn, Director of the WIPO Office in the Russian Federation; staff of the WIPO Office, state examiners of Rospatent, and specialists from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The event covered issues of registering intellectual property rights for trademarks, inventions, utility models, and industrial designs, and provided an overview of useful WIPO electronic tools.

Anton commented on the specifics of patent and trademark registration in Eurasian countries during the session dedicated to the international protection of intellectual property.

On August 28, a webinar was hosted by the Russian Chamber of Patent Attorneys. The session was conducted in Russian and designed for a Russian-speaking audience interested in the practical aspects of protecting intellectual property in Türkiye.

Partners Ramzan Khusainov and Anton Khomyakov attended the AIPPI World Congress 2025, which concluded earlier this week in Yokohama, Japan.

This year’s event gathered over 2,800 intellectual property law experts. Traditionally, the AIPPI Congress serves as a platform for discussing the latest legal trends and developments, as well as establishing working contacts with specialists from around the world.

In previous months, Ramzan worked on the Russian National Group’s committee preparing proposals for the AIPPI Committee on Trademarks.

Anton represented the Russian National Group during the consideration and adoption of the resolution text by the AIPPI Committee on Patents.

This year, the designated committees discussed issues of trademark exhaustion and the conditions for granting compulsory licenses. Other working committees developed resolutions on copyright issues in the use of artificial intelligence and requirements for compensation of damages incurred by defendants upon the grant of preliminary injunctions in litigation.

On June 13−15, Ramzan Khusainov, Managing Partner, participated in the AIPPI Trilateral Meeting held in Gyeongju, South Korea. This city in the southeast of the country, 360 km from Seoul, is renowned for its historical landmarks dating back to the 7th-10th centuries and is considered one of Korea’s cultural hubs. The conference took place at Hilton Gyeongju, close to the historical center.

The event is a trilateral meeting of the AIPPI national groups of Korea, China, and Japan, which has been held annually since 2000. This year, it gathered over 160 participants, including experts from Italy, the US, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Russia.

The program was dynamic and practice-oriented. Presentations from all three national groups were of a high standard and reflected current changes and trends in their jurisdictions.

For our team, attending AIPPI events is always an excellent opportunity to strengthen international connections with both patent attorneys and in-house specialists.

The cultural program, including a gala dinner and an excursion, offered a chance to explore Korea’s rich history and culture. Participants visited royal tombs, a Buddhist temple, the national museum, and enjoyed traditional Korean cuisine.

🌐 Yerevan, Armenia | June 12−14, 2025

Anton Khomyakov, Senior Partner, took part in the International Conference of the Eurasian Patent Attorneys Assembly, which brought together IP professionals from across the Eurasian Patent Convention countries — along with colleagues from China, Georgia, Germany, and Indonesia.

On Day 1, Anton presented on "Choosing the Optimal Strategy for Protecting Digital Assets" as part of the session "Patenting of inventions in Eurasia. From Pharmaceuticals to Artificial Intelligence".

On the following day, he spoke about the role of the AIPPI World Congress and the association’s impact on the development of intellectual property law, during a panel titled "International development of patent law and interaction of international IP organizations. Possibilities and Prospects".

📝 The Assembly of Eurasian Patent Attorneys was established in 2023 to promote professional coordination among Eurasian patent attorneys and support the development of the profession as part of deeper regional integration in the field of industrial property.

On December 16, 2025, the 5th Jubilee Patent Congress of the Russian National Group of AIPPI was held in Moscow.

On February 26, 2025, the Russian National Group of AIPPI hosted a webinar titled "Resolutions of the AIPPI 2024 World Congress", bringing together intellectual property professionals from Russia and neighboring countries.

Today I made a presentation on the cancellation of trademarks due to non-use at the IV Patent Congress of the Russian National AIPPI Group in Russia. The Congress brought together leading IP professionals in Russia and business representatives.

Earlier this week, the IV Patent Congress 2024 of the Russian National Group of AIPPI took place in Moscow.

The event was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and became one of the key intellectual property events of 2024 in Russia. Our firm Khusainov Khomyakov & Partners was honored to be one of the strategic partners of the Congress, which was a significant achievement for us.

During the roundtable on the protection of industrial designs, I delivered a presentation on "Choosing the Optimal Protection Strategy for Digital Environment Objects."

The most interesting part for me was networking with colleagues and representatives of commercial organizations during the breaks between sessions. We gained valuable information for our clients and for organizing our own work.
